Part IV — The First Day

©︎ IMARIN KINGDOM
©︎ Usinomics
The afternoon sun shone brightly over Moo66 HQ.

High above the surrounding landscape, the rooftop community plaza stretched beneath an endless blue sky. Beyond its railings, green hills descended toward the distant sea, while the rooftop helipad stood quietly nearby.

For the first time, all eight members of KINDNESS KINGDOM had gathered there together.

Usinomics stood before them.

For a moment, he simply looked at the group.
They had traveled from different places, followed different professions, and built their lives through entirely different experiences.

Now, somehow, all of them were standing on the rooftop of Moo66.
Usinomics
Usinomics
“Welcome to Moo66.”
There was no elaborate ceremony.

No orchestra.

No long formal speech.
Just the wind beneath the endless sky, and eight journeys finally meeting in one place—a quiet welcome to a place that had once begun with almost nothing.

Then Usinomics stepped backward and raised his camera.
Usinomics
Usinomics
“Before anything else,”
he said,
Usinomics
Usinomics
 “let’s take a picture.”
The eight members gathered together.

Some stood.

Some sat near the sofas.

Others adjusted their positions until everyone could be seen.

Usinomics checked the frame.

The helipad.

The rooftop plaza.

The blue sky.
And the visitors from KINDNESS KINGDOM.

Click.

The moment was preserved.
The Story of Moo66

After the photograph, everyone remained on the rooftop.

Coffee was prepared.

Seats were taken.

Conversation began naturally.

Usinomics explained how Moo66 had started.

There had been no grand headquarters in the beginning.

No guest rooms.

No restaurant.

No rooftop community plaza.

No helipad.
There had been a time when almost nothing existed.

He had built gradually.

One room.

One facility.

One improvement at a time.

Mistakes had been made along the way.

Some things had been built before anyone realized that something far more basic was missing.

Some spaces had been redesigned repeatedly.

Others had simply evolved because new problems appeared.
Others had simply evolved because new problems appeared.

Yet beneath that gradual evolution, Moo66 itself had never been built casually.

Behind every finished surface was a carefully coordinated architectural system: reinforced structural foundations designed according to the bearing capacity of the ground, concrete footings and foundation beams transferring loads safely into the soil, and floor slabs engineered to distribute both permanent and imposed loads throughout the structure.

Typical interior partitions were approximately 100 to 150 millimeters thick once their metal-stud framing, acoustic insulation, service cavities, gypsum board, and final finishes were combined. Exterior wall assemblies were substantially deeper—often 200 to 300 millimeters or more—allowing space for structural elements, thermal insulation, waterproofing, vapor and air-control layers, mechanical penetrations, and the exterior cladding system.
Reinforced-concrete floor slabs could typically reach approximately 150 to 250 millimeters in thickness depending on span and loading requirements, while the space above suspended ceilings provided carefully coordinated routes for electrical conduits, data cabling, fire-protection systems, ventilation ducts, drainage lines, and other mechanical services.

Even the apparently empty spaces inside the walls had a purpose.

Stud spacing, structural connections, reinforcement, concrete cover, fire stopping, acoustic separation, waterproofing, thermal insulation, movement joints, and mechanical penetrations were all coordinated before the visible finishes were installed.
Below everything lay the part visitors would never see: the substructure.

Foundation dimensions were not selected by appearance, but by geotechnical investigation, structural loads, groundwater conditions, settlement limits, seismic requirements, and the calculated bearing capacity of the supporting ground. Where shallow foundations were insufficient, piles or other deep-foundation systems transferred the building loads into stronger strata below.
The floors, walls, ceilings, and foundations therefore worked not as separate objects, but as one integrated structural and building-services system.

Moo66 might have grown one problem at a time.

But what supported it was never improvised.

But what supported it was never improvised.

Its engineering was deliberate, even when its future was not.
Moo66 had not been created from a perfect master plan.

It had grown through experience.

The members of KINDNESS understood that immediately.

Soon, they began telling their own stories.

They spoke about where they had started, the work they had chosen, the difficulties they had encountered, and the long paths that had eventually brought them to Moo66.
For a while, the rooftop became less like the top of a headquarters and more like a meeting place between people who had each built something from almost nothing.

Sakura and several others relaxed on the sofas, talking quietly.

Kaneso and Storm walked around the rooftop, inspecting the facilities and studying the structure.

Members of the medical team gathered near the café area with cups of coffee.

Barrows stood near the edge of the plaza, looking across the distant landscape.
Rishon spoke about the surrounding environment and the relationship between development and nature.

Usinomics said very little.

He moved quietly around the plaza with his camera.

Click.

Click.

Click.

He photographed the conversations rather than interrupting them.
He photographed the moments between conversations.

The laughter.

The coffee.

The people looking toward the sea.

To Usinomics, those ordinary moments were as important as the official group photograph.
Eight People, One Office

Eventually, the group moved indoors.

Usinomics had prepared two office rooms for them.

There was enough space.

At least, there would have been enough space if the eight visitors had divided themselves between the two rooms.

They did not.

All eight entered the same office.

Within minutes, every chair seemed occupied.

Documents appeared.

Ideas were exchanged.

Questions were raised.

The business discussion began immediately.

Usinomics stood near the doorway and looked at the second office.
It was completely empty.

He looked back at the first.

Eight people.

One room.

He said nothing.

There was, however, a considerably larger problem.

The room was hot.

Very hot.

Moo66 had an air circulation system, but it was not a refrigerated air-conditioning system.

It moved air.

It did not cool it.

There was no electric fan.

The windows could not be opened.

Outside, the summer heat had settled heavily over the building.

Usinomics opened the office door.

Then he opened the doors leading toward the lobby.

Perhaps, he thought, creating a path through the building would improve the airflow.

It helped.

Slightly.

Not enough.

The KINDNESS members, however, seemed almost completely unconcerned.

They continued talking.

One subject became another.

One proposal produced three more proposals.

Coffee disappeared.

Documents moved across the table.

Nobody suggested ending the meeting.
Even the event sweets nearby remained almost untouched.

Usinomics looked at the sweets.

Then at the eight people.

Then at the room.

The conclusion was unavoidable.

Moo66 needed air conditioners.

Immediately.
The Air-Conditioning Problem

Usinomics purchased two units.

Only two.

That created another problem.

There were more rooms than air conditioners.

He considered the situation carefully.

One unit would be installed in the large four-person guest room.

The other would go into his own room.

The offices would receive none.

It was not an ideal solution.
But the guests would at least have a properly cooled room when they were ready to rest.

Installation work began.

Before leaving, Usinomics returned to the office.

The KINDNESS members were still discussing business.

He waited for a pause.

It did not come.

Eventually, he spoke anyway.
Usinomics
Usinomics
“Air-conditioning installation is about to begin. Please make yourselves comfortable at Moo66 while the work is underway. I’ll be away for a little while.”
Several faces turned toward him.
Usinomics
Usinomics
“Food is prepared in the restaurant on the first floor,”
he continued.
Usinomics
Usinomics
“And the bathtub in the powder room is available twenty-four hours a day.”
The group smiled and nodded.

Then, almost immediately, they returned to their discussion.

Usinomics watched them for another second.

Apparently, the meeting was nowhere near finished.

He quietly left.
A Balloon Above the Sea

Usinomics still had a quest to complete.

Not long afterward, he boarded a hot-air balloon alone.

The basket slowly rose.

Moo66 became smaller beneath him.

Buildings became shapes.

Roads became lines.

The sea expanded across the horizon until blue seemed to occupy almost the entire world.

For the first time that afternoon, there was nothing Usinomics needed to build at that exact moment.
No furniture to move.

No room to reorganize.

No guest to guide.

No air conditioner to install personally.

He rested his arms against the edge of the basket and watched the scenery.

The quiet did not last long.

His thoughts returned to Moo66.

His own bathroom was still incomplete.

There were basic things he needed.

A dresser.

A shelf stocked with toilet paper.

A tray for everyday toiletries.

Plants.

Small furnishings.
Ordinary objects that nobody noticed when they were present but immediately noticed when they were missing.

The balloon eventually returned to its boarding point.

Usinomics stepped out.

The brief rest was over.

He went shopping.
The Supply Run

Usinomics moved quickly from one purchase to another.

A dresser.

A storage shelf.

Toilet paper.

Daily necessities.

A tray.

Decorative plants.

More household supplies.

The list seemed to grow while he was shopping.

Then a notification appeared.

Usinomics stopped.
A friend from Portugal had contacted him.

It was an invitation.

Another balloon ride.

Usinomics looked at the message.

Then at his supplies.

Then at the unfinished list.

He replied that he was coming.

Moments later, his vehicle was racing toward the meeting point.

The route was not elegant.
The car climbed steep terrain.

It jumped over the edge of a slope.

For several seconds, it behaved less like an ordinary road vehicle and more like a jeep attempting to prove something.

Eventually, Usinomics arrived.

The balloon was waiting.

His Portuguese friend was there.

So was another player whom Usinomics had never met before.

Usinomics approached.
Usinomics
Usinomics
“Hi.”
That was enough.
The Second Flight

Inside the balloon basket were sofas and small tables.

Several cups of coffee had already been placed around the seating area.

The others were seated.

Usinomics joined them.

Soon, the balloon began moving.

The ground slowly fell away.

The coastline returned beneath them.

The sea filled the distance.

It should have been a quiet sightseeing trip.

It was not.

Without warning, the two other passengers stood up.

And started dancing.

Usinomics remained seated.

One of the guests wore a swimsuit.
The other wore a short skirt.
The balloon continued drifting peacefully through the sky while the two danced in the center of its spacious passenger lounge, surrounded by comfortable sofas and wide windows overlooking the clouds.
Usinomics watched the two of them dance.

Then, sipping his café au lait, he turned his gaze toward the scenery outside.

After a while, his attention returned to the two dancers.

He remained their quiet audience until, eventually, they stopped dancing.
For a while, the quiet lounge belonged to the music and the two dancers.

He settled into the sofa and continued his tea break.

The arrangement was becoming strangely luxurious.

A private balloon.

An ocean view.

Coffee.

Two people dancing directly in front of him.
Usinomics had not requested entertainment.

Yet somehow he appeared to have acquired a VIP seat.

He quietly continued drinking.
A Conversation Without a Common Language

At one point, Usinomics tried to offer some of the food he had brought with him.

The exchange did not work.

He tried again.

Still nothing.

Eventually, he canceled the attempt and returned to his seat.

A message appeared.
Usinomics tried to offer them some food, but the two women quietly declined without saying a word.

So he returned to his seat and continued his tea time in peace.

A little while later, a few messages from the women appeared on his screen.

Usinomics read them quietly.

Shy as ever, he did not know quite what to say.

In the end, he simply replied,
Usinomics
Usinomics
“Thank you.”
Then he used a cheerful expression.

The conversation was effectively complete.

The dancing resumed.

Usinomics resumed drinking his coffee.

No further linguistic expertise was required.
The hot-air balloon continued drifting across the sky.
Meanwhile, at Moo66 HQ

The summer heat had not disappeared.

Inside the office, the eight members of KINDNESS KINGDOM were still talking.

Eventually, even they began to notice the temperature.

The room had become uncomfortable.

Someone suggested returning to the rooftop community plaza.

The group began moving out.

Then one of them noticed something through the window.
Installation work in the large guest room had been completed.

An air conditioner was running.

There was a brief silence.

Eight people changed direction.

Within moments, every member of KINDNESS KINGDOM had moved into the same guest room.

Cool air flowed through the space.
Coffee appeared again.

The business discussion resumed.

No one returned to the second office.

No one appeared interested in separating into smaller groups.

Eight visitors had been given multiple spaces.

They had once again chosen one room.
The newly cooled guest room became an unofficial conference room.

Outside, the summer remained intense.

Inside, KINDNESS KINGDOM continued discussing business in complete comfort.
The Return

Eventually, the hot-air balloon began its descent.

Usinomics stepped out of the passenger lounge and onto the ground.

He looked toward his companions and gave them a simple thumbs-up.
Usinomics
Usinomics
👍🏻
No long farewell was necessary.

He had said hello.

He had attempted to share food.

He had watched an unexpected dance performance.

He had completed another balloon journey.

That seemed sufficient.

Usinomics finished the rest of his daily tasks and returned to Moo66 HQ.

The building was quieter than he expected.

He checked the office.
Empty.

He checked the second office.

Also empty.

For a moment, he wondered where everyone had gone.

Then he passed the guest area.

Through the window, he saw them.

All eight members of KINDNESS KINGDOM were inside the large room.

The air conditioner was running.

Coffee cups were nearby.

And the conversation was still going.

Usinomics stopped.

He watched through the window.

They appeared comfortable.

More importantly, they appeared completely absorbed in whatever they were discussing.
There was no reason to interrupt.

Usinomics quietly continued down the corridor.

His own air conditioner had also been installed.

He entered his room.

Closed the door.

And finally sat down.

Cool air moved through the room.

For the first time since the visitors had arrived, Usinomics had nothing immediately demanding his attention.

The offices still needed air conditioners.
His bathroom still needed more equipment.

There were still supplies to purchase.

Moo66 was still unfinished.

It probably always would be.

There would always be another room.

Another improvement.

Another unexpected problem.

Another quest.

Usinomics leaned back and rested.

Beyond his room, the visitors from KINDNESS KINGDOM continued talking.

Beyond the walls of Moo66, the summer sun remained bright.

And somewhere above the coastline, another balloon slowly crossed the blue sky.
For now, everyone had found a place to stay.

That was enough.
