Part IV — The First Day
The redesigned Moo66 had finally been completed.
This time, it featured two guest rooms and an exclusive CEO Suite.
The previous VIP room was gone.
Each guest room contained two single beds, matching bedside tables with warm lamps, a comfortable sofa set, a low coffee table, a chest decorated with a framed photograph, and a small side table stacked with books.
The two rooms shared the same elegant design.
Any friend visiting Moo66 was welcome to stay there free of charge.
The CEO Suite occupied an entire floor.
A quiet hallway led to a beautiful bay window where fresh flowers rested upon a dark wooden console.
Outside, a small balcony overlooked the peaceful surroundings like a living painting.
Inside the suite stood a writing desk for future novels, a grand piano, custom-designed sofas, elegant tables, and a comfortable reception area prepared for visitors.
Everything looked better.
Everything looked newer.
Everything looked more complete.
Yet…
Usinomics quietly stopped walking.
A strange feeling settled deep inside his heart.
This was not the Moo66 he had spent countless days building.
It was no longer the collection of imperfect rooms that had slowly grown one project at a time.
The patched floors.
The awkward layouts.
The endless renovations.
The countless mistakes.
For some reason…
He missed every one of them.
His daily quests continued exactly as before.
He gathered materials.
Completed assignments.
Visited familiar locations.
But every task felt strangely empty.
His heart simply wasn’t there.
The pets, however, seemed perfectly happy.
They comfortably walked into their new shelters without hesitation.
Perhaps…
This place was easier for them to call home.
Usinomics slowly looked around.
He smiled to himself.
Looking around once more…
he couldn’t help laughing.
The dining tables even looked like interrogation rooms.
The restaurant no longer felt like a restaurant.
The warm diner atmosphere had quietly disappeared.
Instead…
it had become an office.
A beautiful office.
But still…
an office.
As evening arrived, Usinomics drove back toward Moo66.
Without realizing it…
he passed right by it.
For a brief moment,
he had mistaken it for someone else’s house.
He stopped the car.
Turned around.
He stepped outside and examined the building from another angle.
Compared to the previous version…
it somehow looked smaller.
Perhaps it was only an illusion.
Or perhaps…
something far more important had changed.
Usinomics quietly whispered,
He glanced at his savings.
Night slowly covered Moo66.
The pets peacefully returned to sleep.
Usinomics climbed the stairs toward the CEO Suite.
The room was silent.
Beautiful.
Perfect.
Yet somewhere inside…
he still found himself searching for the old Moo66.
Outside,
the lights quietly continued glowing through the night.
